Adult Friend Finder

AdultFriendFinder is an online community specialising in matching people interested in sex, swinging and other alternative sexual interests. Founded in 1997 by Andrew Conru, the site was originally a more standard dating site, FriendFinder, it then became AdultFriendFinder after some users added pictures that were not appropriate for a mainstream dating site. Penthouse Media Group bought AdultFriendFinder in 2007 for $500 million, reported to be one of the largest deals in the adult industry.

AdultFriendFinder offers free membership, which includes the facility to create a profile, access very few chat rooms, perform limited member searches and limited contact.

There are 2 levels of premium membership, Silver for $19.95/month and Gold for £29.95/month. These offer  access to more refined search options and a wider range of search results, email and instant messaging, chat rooms, blogs, live cams and magazine articles. Both premium membership packages have the chance to upgrade again for a small fee to allow non-premium members to access their information and contact them.

AdultFriendFinder offers a very extensive search facility, allowing members to search by sexual orientation, gender, location, sexual preferences, and matches you to people seeking what you have on offer according to your profile. The site boasts a very large user database, although figures for this may be inaccurate as many profiles are now disused, or operated by companies looking for clients.
